Red lodge is situated on the old A11 near Newmarket. 24Hr opening. Lorry park like a moto x track (bring wellies) Food is good (had worse) pub next door. Shower(ain’t great but its wet) Parking is free, and if i’m around so is the entertainment! (clown) Spanish omelette is a must 4 the very hungry(depending on cook) :sunglasses:

Anyone know how many spaces there are available at Red lodge and whether its reasonably secure and does it get full up by a certain time?

it can be very secure during the week at day time as vosa have a weigh bridge outside and often have vehicles there…night isnt to bad as police do go round there as there is a 24 hour recovery place/scrap yard next door…it gets full by about 4pm weekdays and only foreign trucks at weekends…maybe 25 spaces depending how everyone parks.

Jay i think yr confusing Red lodge with Risby mate. Red lodge there is space for around 50 trucks depending on drivers parking sensibly. Pub next door to cafe. As for secure? Well you take yr chances as with every where else. I have parked there more times than any where else ever and i’ve never been touched although i know of others that have.

I used to park there when i was working for a company that was subbying for Hargreaves International (read Turners of Soham) running the fridges ( and before anyone asks, i always had mine switched off at night)

as has been said, free parking, bring wellies if it is wet :confused:

food in the cafe is good at a reasonable price.

good food next door in the pub too :smiley:

and does the young bird with the big norks still work in the cafe? you know the one, always wore a skin ■■■■■■■■■■■ t shirt with a black bra underneath it :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: :laughing:

its a good place for food thats for sure

they did used to give you a £5 parking voucher despite not being allowed to charge for parking (i think noone actually knows who owns the land, hence why its like the moon surface to park on)

I recon you’d have to park pretty snugly to get 50 motors in there or have they cleared the park up :question:

Just re read this post out of boredom, Thats custard yr talking about. A wonderful young lady who sadly no longer works there.
