I currently live in West Wales and after endless trying at getting a job. I’ve only had two companies offer me work one of those was agency which ripped me off and other was only temp. Work is non exsistant around here unless I’m willing to commute 2-3 hours to Cardiff or Newport, I’ve decided to go at family members in Manchester where there seems to be more job prospects, Could anyone recommend any companies that take on relatively new drivers I’ve had a bit of experience of containers and fridge work.

Alderley Edge is where all the rich people,so if you are looking for jobs in that area firms are plentiful,William Kirk (part of Kinaxia) and James Pugh are nearby in Poynton and R F fielding is also close to AlderleyEdge.

Carrying on the Kinaxia thing. As mentioned William Kirk and Mark Thomson are both part of Kinaxia. Also in the area you’ve got AKW Global Logistics in Trafford Park, BC Transport were in Macclesfield-ish but I believe share William Kirks yard, Bay Freight in Stalybridge.
I work for another company in the Kinaxia group and its possible to move between them too which opens up options.
FWIW, if you’re willing to go tramping then a killer of a daily commute becomes a plausible once a week trip. Might open some options to you.
