If it’s for tax purposes I’m sure the confirmation email would be enough, together with a bit of info from gov.uk.
If it’s not for tax purposes, why would you need a receipt? I’ve never heard of any company reimbursing a driver for what is the driver’s own personal property.

Some places pay for cars renewals along with medicals etc, same as CPC costs which also is down to the driver to sort not the company. Maybe he needs it for his company to reimburse the costs.

My lot will pay for anything that involves driving THEIR lorry. So digicard renewals to medicals are all payed for.
to answer the OP, I couldnt get a receipt for payment on my digicard renewal so I just printed off my confirmation email and handed that into our account dept. Never heard anything back so I have assumed that was ok.

The DCPC is the best one. Its fully paid by the company and to top it off its always held on a saturday so thats 8 hours at time and a half pay

As a matter of interest Yorkie is your firm unionised? Ours is heavily unionised, well, our site is, I can’t speak for the rest of GXO and like you we get reimbursed for all that sort of stuff. Hell they even pay for eyeglasses if they are required for driving. Another benefit is that if we produce a doctor/hospital/dentist appointment we get the day off with ten hours pay without having to waste a days holiday to do it.
Say what you like about unions but it’s hard to argue against those things that they’ve bargained for over the years.

Sort of. The factory side are non unionised, but the driving team are mostly unionised. To be fair the company are a forward thinking firm and fair minded. I can even remember when i went for a chat with the gaffer when I was looking for a job there, he was horrified when I told him my current boss refused to pay for parking and we had to use laybyes or industrial estates. He said “NOBODY at my firm slums it and you will park at services or truck stops”. I knew right there I was on a winner!

one place I worked (small family co) we did cpc upstairs in a pub function room, burger and a pint for lunch. Tell your lot thats the standard

Our mob pay for glasses, cpc, dig card and medical. They say its part of the job. I can’t complain though.
