Very easy tobe a busy fool in this game
I could put 50 trucks on road with several companies i know uk and euro would be very busy with no dead mileage hardly
Would i make money no would loose 000’s
Its getting your costs right and knowing your overheads and standing cost

Ive ran old and new trucks and over the time
They work out the same with maintanance etc

just few figures here from the early 70s. d800 tipper on local work 8 loads per day @£2-50 a load =£20 less £5 fuel =£15-00 earned. tipper on day work for council,£2-50 per hour plus 1 hour travelling,parked up with road work gang all day.=£22-50 less fuel £2-00 =£20-50 earned.£5-50 more per day difference.less wear and tear. simple economics,which job is best? regards,jack.
