I believe that weirdly, Keedwell(Scotland) pay slightly more than R.T.Keedwell, who are on £10/10.15 ph, but nowhere near £13 odd!! Of course, McLellan is infamous for getting up to all sorts of dodgy practices, including criminal!!
Keedwell is one of those medium to large players in this game that make out they are a true professional haulier full of family values etc just like downton used to do before they sold out to ev cargo.
In truth they a full of corporate bull shine and don’t give two hoots about you, bang average pay, bang average trucks, full of corporate rubbish like driver trainers and compliance who have very little knowledge themselves but try and get you i the office for a harsh brake incident etc.
Oh and one word of rule with a 4 on 4 on general haulage you will get pushed by the office to work every rest day possible,in my experience that shift only works outside general haulage.
In this day of age I can’t believe people still work for these outfits when jobs are out there with better conditions,
Maybe good for a newbie to get 6 months experience them move on but Iv seen young drivers arrive at these sort of firms get treated like dirt then leave the industry altogether…

Really?
That very much depends on who you work for. Owenski, Stobrats, probably yes. At Keedwell, two 4on-4off drivers share a truck, so you have to get back on day four, so that the truck is there for the other driver in the morning. That’s not to say that we sometimes run out of time and have to run in on day five, but as that badly impacts on the other drivers day, it’s not deliberate, not planned, and not very often. And I rarely get asked to do overtime. It’s usually there if I want it (rarely), but it’s not often they ask me.
And let’s put some things in perspective. Yes, there are better jobs out there, with beter trucks, and beter terms and conditions. But theres a lot more drivers, than those beter jobs… so the majority of drivers have to accept what’s there (try living in west Wales and get a good job…), and make the best of what they’ve got. And whilst I’m certainly not bigging up Keedwell, they have a large number of longtermers, and out of a bad bunch, they aren’t the worst.
I was in there Highbridge yard on Monday, whats this Jays Logistics about then ? Just look like Keedwell trucks with a sticker on the door that a 4yr old designed

If you Google R T Keedwell, R T Keedwell Group, Keedwell(Scotland) etc, you’ll find that Stuart Keedwell has fingers in quite a few company pies, and there’s also been various takeovers, and Jays features in the list. Makes interesting reading!

If that’s the…
Case, if you signed up to that in your contract, then you’ve nowhere to turn.
If you didn’t, then you need to vigorously persue this via legal channels.
Dont feed the troll…
Unless he’s really a driver, that’s really his level of writing skill, and he’s really worked for Keedwells, went to Gregory’s, then came back to Keedwell’s.
I know they sometimes struggle to get drivers, but this is beyond scrapping the barrel…

I wouldn’t worry about getting another job with your level of grammar, you need to get back to school.

I think that’s a tad harsh. Taking his post at face value, a f/n/s blow out when you’re driving at 50mph with concrete block barriers 2ft to your left is not going to end well. I’d be very surprised if any driver was quick enough to react from sudden shock and instant hard pull to the left. I’m fairly confident I would not.
Unless there is dashcam footage of him first driving into the concrete which resulted in the blow out then I for one think it’s out of order that RTK have suspended him and made a pay deduction. If that were me I would be getting a solicitor on the case pronto.
