Q3.

Manual entry

Much better answer than the one I did

Q1 - 90 minutes.

Q2 - Not enough information to give a definitive answer as it depends on how much other work.

Possibly no break required at all if you don’t work more than another 1 hour 16 minutes. Possibly 30 minutes, could be 2x15 with the first no later than 12:00 and second before end of shift if you will not exceed 9 hours of total work, driving and other work. Possibly 45 minutes if you do exceed 9 hours work, could be in 2 or 3 parts with a minimum of 15 minutes, again first no later than 12:00, second no later than 6 hours after that one ends and third before end of shift.

Q3 - Manual entry.

Q4 - Make a note on the back of the chart or on a printout explaining the reason for deviating from the rules. use the first available parking place to take your break, 4 hours driving left for the shift.

Q5 - 103 hours. 6 hours from midnight to 06:00 Monday, 4x11 hour daily rest periods, 53 hours from 19:00 Friday to midnight Sunday.

Neil, Re Q2 - all the Qs are subject to the caveat in the first line of the quiz - does that make a difference to your answer ?

Well done all that had a go, will post a new one soon just in the process of making it more of a challenge

Hi Niel with regards Q2 i have put some thing on there that would have got you to the answer, as Rog as said, but next time I will include in the question.

Yeah it does, I didn’t read that bit so only the last bit of my answer now applies. Although I would question the use of the word normal in relation to a 13 hour shift, I’ve only had a shift longer than 9.5 hours once last year.
