Minimalistic Italian box at the side of the road. I’m not sure which one this was as there were a few, Verona, Ancona, Florance, Naploli , as well as Rome.

Is it a “Lucky Irish dice” ?

I don’t think it would be very lucky if it fell over.

I was driving on one of the Belgian motorways a few years ago and I saw a strange dead animal ahead by the road side. I had RHD so I could get a better view than most, and as the road was quiet and I was curious I slowed right down: it was a white monkey! Robert
Never seen an albino monkey before either dead or alive, but we did have an albino possum that used to come up to the house very night for a banana.

Hello all. Coming back from Scotland there was a dead Raccoon on the side of the A1 just before you turn away from the coast south of Dunbar. Jim.
Dutch border: fossilised elephants and raj architecture - never got to the bottom of what that was all about! Robert
Hiya …on the Elephant scene, as you go past Queensferry on the A494 at the back of the Indian restaurant,(A494 side)
there a row of elephant statues .
John
This always makes me smile on the A 27 near Breda in Holland, haven’t a clue what it’s all about.
On the A6 at Almere,
If you are s/b on the A34 between Stoke and Tittensor,on the short stretch of dual carriageway between Trentham and the Monkey Island roundabout,if you look at the horizon to your right, there is a statue on the wooded hill.
This is a statue of the Duke of Sutherland, and he is holding a scroll in his right hand down by his side. However, viewed from the road in silhouette, you can easily see that he is clutching a huge erection!

I go down there every week Ian, can’t say I’ve noticed it, guess I will now !
I did notice this large edifice as I was returning to London from Edinburgh with exhibition equipment for EST. 'Angel ‘t north!’ Robert

Hiya…wow that,s some key how many turns per mile does the Stralis do…nice one Robert.
Here’s another strange object I found beside the road. It was too big to be a bus but too small to be a house. No idea what it was. Robert

Some say it’s just an outdated thing of the past, and that it just rattles too much to be considered a viable means of transport.
We just call it…
… an IVECO

Do you recall the ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ that used to frequent the Highways, I used to see one pushing an old pram between Balsall Common and Stonebridge on the A452 most times that I went that route? Most Peak District driver’s will remember the tramp at Baslow, apparently an educated man who just ‘dropped out’ of society.Pete.
Yes I remember him Pete, he had a makeshift hut in the hedgerow just before Stonebridge island on the A452.
This was my regular run back then, several of us saved our newspapers, slow down they throw them to him. Anyone know what happened to him?
