How often do you have to have a medical when you drive a truck in Canada? Also what happens if in five years time you develop diabeties? Do you have to hand your truck license back like in the UK?
Good Question! . Im not too sure , but im sure one of the other drivers here will be able to answer it for both of our sakes
Not sure what age you have to have medicals again. I ought to find out. I am 40 now and don’t need one yet.
The diabetes thing is a bit odd. You can drive trucks with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, but if you have insulin dependant diabetes then you cannot drive in the US.
I would imagine it is similar to down here mate as most of the Canadian truckers come south of the border.
1 year after the first medical then every 2 years.
