Right I don’t wish to fall out with the mods as it is a no win situation, and I know I will eventually get the ‘Well if you don,t like it …etc etc…off to another site’’ routine.
But has anybody else noticed that there appears to be an influx of complete knobs on here lately? Ok, an influx is maybe a slight exaggeration , but I could name ( but I won’t as I think we all know anyway) at least 3. You know the ones the borderline trolls, who only post to generate aggravation Every post has a insult or a belligerent remark or blatant name calling for the sake of it. In one case the superstar on Bully’s ‘Your Mrs’ thread that was warned by a mod so then apologised,… but 2 mins later went on to do the same thing for ffs. , and had a pop at me for reacting (water of a ducks back btw )
I am guilty on here for banging on about how in many cases standards of drivers have dropped from professionals to bellends slowly over the years but my argument seems to be qualified by some of the cases on here lately ( assuming they ARE real drivers and not ■■■■■■ schoolboys). A lot of the old characters have gone is that just coincidence, I can recall about 3 saying along the lines of ''This is crap I’m done with it ‘’
So why are the Mods letting it go??
This is a good site, I and most of us enjoy it, and you get some good conversations, info, laughs and in my case the odd (good natured) ruck . If so the ruck is instantly forgot about and we move on. But the knob heads amongst us are just a ■■■■■■ pain in the arse…

Been thinking the same for about 2 week robroy,im not too keen on being called a ■■■■■■ to be fare the newby sectioned is getting destroyed with name calling lately and its not banter its propper digs at folk
I used to read every thread as usually there was something useful or funny. Now it’s mostly ■■■■, and I actually look to see who has contributed to a topic before I’ll even read it…

Possibly ex drivers who couldn’t hack it and failed abysmally to make any progress in the job, which given their entirely negative posting style it’s entirely understandable they were perma stuck at the dog end and going nowhere.
I felt obliged to put a long post (you’ll be shocked i know… ) on one of the newbies threads (‘‘have i wasted me money’’ or summat like that) a few days ago, the constant negativity of these clueless berks simply got on me ■■■■, so had to put some honesty and realism back in, Christ knows what a poor newbies supposed to think reading the ■■■■■■■■ they spout ad infinitum.
I don’t address trolls nor acknowledge their often personally insulting posts, but then like lots here i’ve been around a good few years and unfortunately had to work (carry more like) these depressed small minded twerps cos they’re invariably utterly incompetent and of no use to man nor beast, couldn’t cut it in lorry world and now take their venom out in the only way they can without the dangers of saying such things out loud face to face.

Just read through that thread now, and it ain’t really what I meant mate to be honest.
That is in fact an example of being ‘Carryfasted’. This guy trawls through the history books (as he has far too much time on his hands) and continues to regurgitate historical facts ranging from The slave Trade to The Thatcher years, and blames Joe Stalin and Jim Callaghan for everything from the Holocaust to the Great train robbery he prattles on (and on ) until he eventually ends up arguing with himself, and you forget what it’s all about, and start considering slashing your own wrists through sheer ■■■■■■ boredom.
It is in fact a master tactic, of which he is an absolute expert.
We have all suffered it mate, but hey! look upon it as a kind of Trucknet initiation ceremony, you are now a full member because you too have been …CARRYFASTED
He’s a bit like an eccentric bitter old Uncle that sits in a corner ■■■■■■■, grumping, and generally getting on your nerves, but we just endure it anyway.

I can’t really comment on the shenanigans of the main forum, as I don’t feel I’ve been around long enough. But I have spent what i perceive to be a reasonable amount of time on the Newbie forum, and definitely long enough to see that it’s recently been decimated by just a couple of posters, that completely skew a Newbies opinion. As a result, I’ve even resorted to having PM conversations with a couple of Newbie posters, just so the trolls can’t disrupt them. It’s not what I want to do, but it’s what I’ve felt compelled to do… Thankfully V4OLLY seems to have disappeared, but it did surprise me what he was able to get away with and continue to post.
P.S. I don’t like being called a sad old donkey, it’s too close to the mark!!!
Embittered failed drivers who either can’t pass their C test or who have and simply can’t cut it in the real world.
As I have posted elsewhere, I think that there are a number of posters who are not, nor have any affiliation with, the transport industry and I agree that the site should be, shall we say, disinfected.

All you have to do is click on the name of the trolls and press ‘Add Foe’ then as if by magic their posts disappear and you can pretend they don’t exist.
Though I agree that if there are folk that contribute nothing at all and clearly will hack absolutely everyone off, maybe mods could be a little more proactive in showing people the door.

You’re struggling with getting older arn’t you ? Forum dynamics change. Younger newer drivers may want to talk about things that are old hat to older experienced drivers, who have probably chatted to death about it here before, so they take a back seat.
Most of us have acted like knobs on here at one time or another !!! You have, i have. It suprises you that someone else has or will ?
Click right back to the begining posts in this forum and read though, and you’ll see similar to your post…same old same old, not like it was in my day…

Threads usually end up disrupted and may go into chaos, when someone like you just did there calls someone a “bellend”. It all generally goes down hill after that. Reason ? It generally ellicits a response/reply. But then i’ve come to expect that from class two drivers. Artic drivers never seem to do it.
