Yes I did, for around 6 months.
Thought it was the same simon…I was there for a about a year and a half 02-03.I used to call them express ####UP…were we not in a haulage yard Coventry area rebuilding plts of shampoo or sumit… Last time I seen boss man fae forfar was on a machine when they were building the new forth valley hospital… The only good thing about that job was the superfast ferry
Aye. The shampoo was my first trailer change at Dieppe.
It had a very strange lean even then.
A full load of shampoo, with pallets clearly labelled ‘do not double stack.
So Amblainville put perfume pallets on top for that place near Dartford. 2nd Avenue ?
They refused it cos the shampoo bottles had collapsed, so their pallets were hangin’ out all over the place
I phoned the office n said I needed someone with a ramp. Vince sent me to Coventry, because they had extension forks. The rest you know. That trailer smelled lovely for weeks
I bet your glad you got out when you did…also remember restacking 8plts of wine on someone’s trl at nehaven hence the name express FFFF
Aye, that was Johns trailer. Same deal but it was a Saturday load out of Amblainville.
Wine on top of dog food in sachets.
We ‘taxed’ that wine load I seem to remember
Vince wasn’t a happy teddy bear
Wee certainly did…had a few Brucie bonuses work for that crowd, always smelt nice too last time I spoke to john was in the chicken factory c/angus …I was doing a bit on agency for innovate before they went pop
I saw John a few times in Stainmore Cafe, when he was on with Allways.
Then he got a call from Vince with a job offer. He jumped at it.
Ah Vince… I’m sure he was at the hey diddle diddle, don’t want to start any rumours like but holidays to Canada, new kitchen, m5 BMW,…when I went for my interview he was nursing a few cracked ribs, think he upset one of the drivers
