I dont find ant stickers over the cameras now.I can only assume the perpetrators have been dealt with,so there you have it.I never understood why drivers would do this knowing the camera was looking right at them!

You come across as somebody who will do.whatever the hell you are told without question and believe everything your firm tell you…their motive for said cameras for example.
Maybe the rest of them have said '‘■■■■ this’ and moved on.

Im getting tired of cleaning this [zb] off the lense,any idea the best thing to clean sticky residue…
Its long passed threrad this now for an answer to the actual question, but the best stuff Ive ever found and is great for any stickystuff removal…
just in case your phantom camera sticker reappears lol… use this stuff for removing any labels etc, takes about 1 minute to soak in, then just wipe off… couple of quid.

Camera’s watching us all… who doesnt have a mobile phone with a camera on the front lol… is what it is…
Although have to laugh as a certain company went for assesment with, told us all they cant afford the bill for their cameras, inside or out, 
so none are working… so cost alone may cause their death… or put off new ones being purchased, depends how tight the operator is…
Actually, price ^^^^ is something I’ve not even considered. Luckily we don’t have these cameras but I imagine that apart from the initial purchase and installation costs there must be a data usage angle to this? Perhaps it’s pennies, perhaps it’s many thousands of pounds. I honestly have no idea.

The motive for the cameras,they get cheaper insurance.Yes,I believe thats probably true.I dont think they have them installed so they can sit and watch someone driving a truck.How long could you watch such a video without being bored out of your brains,but then,it suits your agenda so this what yoy are going to think no matter what I say

Where exactly did I say that they will be sat watching you all day for the hell of it??
Unless you are a bit dim I would thought it was obvious what they are for, they are there to catch you out and/or blame you for whatever goes wrong,.they will sure as hell tell you that aint true,.and that they are actually for your benefit, ,.and I would imagine someone who is as gullible as you will swallow it all.
And as for your '‘You have to do as told by your employer’ stance, how far do you go with that exactly, would the extreme measure of a full body search say, before you leave their premises urge you to protest?
I somehow think you would be the first in the queue with your strides around your ankles waiting for the rubber gloves to be put on… ‘‘because your employer pays your wages,.so you do as you are told’’.
How do you check that the camera is working from the cab ? Any lights on it telling you it’s working ? Wouldn’t you have to go in the office to see the screen that show’s the inside of your cab ? And if it only comes on for an incident/accident how do you check it then ? just curious.

It doesnt send the footage to the office,the footage is stored on a hard drive in the unit.They arent supposed to view the footage unless there has been an incident.You know it works because it lights up red.But it is on our checksheet that we sign to say it is working and not covered with tape,so that was why it was getting annoying when I had to keep removing the tape or sticky residue from the lense.I would have thought that would be classed as gross misconduct because you are delibratley interferring with company equipement
