Does anyone no if the driver is ok. I went passed this morning at 0400 and the artic was on its side on the road that leads into the eurotunnel calais it blocked the whole road

went past bout 7 still getting him out, police said he will be ok, aparantly took the last bend on the limiter, you can see it slid on its side for about 15 meters or so,he was lucky not to hit the bridge. i took some pics (after i found out drivers life not in danger)

He is a prat, there is a speed warning and a moat to stop clandestines swimming across to the tracks, it doesn’t stop the other prats overtaking where it shows no overtaking.
Wheelnut, I am fully aware of the road and signage, however at this stage we don’t really know the all facts, so it is a bit harsh to call the driver a prat. It may well turn out that he is one, but for now I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt.

No we don’t know the full facts, if what I QUOTED is true then yes he is a prat, when I use the tunnel as I come off the autoroute onto the approach road I am already off the limiter and ready for the sweeping bends.
I’m not some big " ard " trucker that thinks he needs to feel the need for speed and racing up to the back of the queue.

What has nationality got to do with it? Would you have preferred it if it had been a Belgian or a French driver
Always on the limiter til after the rumble strips…wouldnt like to do it with a fully loaded frigo following me tho as were always light (3-4 ton) after all those road signs etc are voluntary only as there in france…just like the no right turn signs as you come off the platform

I just cant see the point trying to shuffle into a space on the AS24 when there is another 10 acres of free parking… Unless it has gone since they opened the “SECURE” park

I saw that at around 9am and it looked bloody awful to be honest. I’m glad the driver is ok.

even at night that bit of road is lit up like its daylight
