Pubs that are near to MSA`s

Anyone have any little hideaways,pubs with fires,for the winter months.There is a few near Cherwell valley,and Sutton Scotney,on A34.Not far to walk,homemade food,real ales.Beats trucker trash food at rip of MSA`s.May meet a nice lady,to bring back to the cab,or two!!! :unamused: :laughing:

there is a very nice pub with ace grub ten mins walk from keele services ,go to top of service rd turn right its up there.

On the westside bound of hartshead moor services go up service road turn right,about 10 mins walk you come to a crossroads,there used to be a pub on your left on the corner and one facing it across the road.Also decent chippy just down the road.

Pease pottage is another one,come out of the servā€™s and walk over the bridge over the motorway,and its about 200 yards on the right :wink:

Nice village pub that does food. out of the gate at the back of strensham services[north m5]turn left 5 minutes walk

Micheal wood services sth bnd, walk back up the service rd which runs parralell with the entry rd, T junction turn right immediately on your left is the Pickwick inn, used to be o.k, but not been in for a few yearsā€¦

Many yrs ago i walked out of the service rd[watford gap n/bound]turned left and 5mins walk on the right there was a pub cant remember the name.

Think thatā€™s more of a ā€œrural restaurantā€ now, certainly looks like it but youā€™re right it used to be spot on.

Anyone know if the one just outside Woodall sthbound is still going?

I seem to remember Birch services and Knutsford both had pubs a short stagger away. We used to drop the trailers in Birch, drive solo out the gated barrier (which was always unlocked!) and park the unit in the pub carpark. No parking ticket (because no numberplate left on the trailer) and a good meal in the pub. Landlord was happy with the custom, so didnā€™t mind the parking. Good timesā€¦ :slight_smile:
