That brings back memories,
I did my Test in 113m, and later on, I drove the 143m 420 for plant Hire Company.
Oh sweat happy days,
Hi NEDBRO iv seen this truck a lot of times whilst driving around the Rotterdam area. The guy is a subby to Fowler Welch,he loads trailers and runs them to the boat and they get shippt in to Harwich for tipping at Spalding .The man who drives it is a real nice guy i think he is from around thr Kent area but not 100 percent sure’regars Nick
Stunning truck dutch motors are excellent you see some stunning trucks in holland
I’ve seen that one at The Hoek too.
Did it used to be one of Gardiners by any chance, does anyone know?
They had at least one which had a very similar paint scheme and bling. It featured in one of the trucking mags, back in the day when these were the motors.
saw it on m20 this week ,im sure it was on container work out of the grain a few years ago
That’s Trevor Starkes

You are right he used to pull boxes out of the Grain then moved to Tilbury .
The truck was off the road for quite I bit of time then he put it back on pulling fridges out of Holland.
Haven’t seen him in quite a while now I know why.
As regulars around the Hoek area will know, there is an amazing amount of old Scanias and Volvos running around pulling boxes mainly.
As there isn’t a hill within 100 miles of Rotterdam, the motors never get stressed and they are all blinged up to the eyeballs and look fantastic.
I saw a 143 450 blinged to within an inch of it’s life pulling a 20’ box with a dolly on and a 40’ behind it. It had sidepipes the lot, and sounded the business as it went past me. I don’t get excited by trucks but God, she sounded good.
Nice old Scania, not really into the bolt on tat, looks like a circus waggon. Be nice if it were stock looking, hey just my opinion.
He was in Parkeston this morning, with a FW trailer on the back. Looked great.
This is indeed Mr Trevor Starkes unit! I use to work with him and know him well. This truck started its life with a company called Neptune’s from Aberdeen doing fish if anybody remembers that firm 2 guys called Bruce and Gillam (not sure on the spelling of the latter). But Trev had this unit all resprayed etc a couple of years ago as was still in neptunes original colours but totally over blinged. He also use to pull for Ove Ostergaard now Alex Andersen. Currently as already mentioned now subs for Fowlers on there Dutch side.
