I have been looking for info on how to best load different types of cargo, I am yet to find a one-stop-shop for the information. being a noob, I want to have a general knowledge of most things before I start applying for jobs (don’t want to make an ars* of myself). Do any of you guys have a link to a good page or even some pics from ye olde text books etc■■? Any help is as always is greatly appreciated
There are 21 pages (“Loads & load restraint”, p.87-107) in the DSA’s Official Guide to Driving Goods Vehicles. If you’ve recently passed your Cat C or CE, I’d presume you already have a copy of this?
Other than this, you could have a look at the VOSA website. If I recall correctly, there is a link on there to some relevant info, including a massively technical EU guide.
Good luck.
I have just passed parts 1-3 ( 2&3 in jan) with mod 4 on wed. However I do not have a copy of said book. Another reason to avoid brokers!! I’ll need to find a copy. I have seen the EU guide it was very techy. I do have it bookmarked, I guess it’s off to waterstones in the morning
Got the PDF off for a “good” read
A big thanks to MajorR,I would have been walking into this mod 4 blind!

Hi Buddy - As well as the online option, I got all the dsa publications and cpc stuff straight off the library shelf. Kept renewing them for months and saved a packet into the bargain! If they havent got them they can get them for you within days (sorry if that
s so obvious as to be patronising - not meant to be!)
I found it easier to absorb flicking through real books than to scroll through an on-screen pdf. Don`t pay Waterstones your hard-earned when you can source these books for free! All the best with your studies, by the way.
Thanks, Danny, you’re very welcome.
Best wishes and good luck for you plans.
