I passed my test in October for the purpose of using a show truck, it would be registered as a private HGV and used accordingly however insurance is a major stumbling block, I’m 58 and have been driving 41 years ( I realise HGV is nothing like a car) A lot of companies don’t want to know without an operator’s license and the only quote I’ve had so far was over 6k, pant browningly expensive for a basic MAN. Any suggestions for insurance companies would be most welcome.
I would expect the Old Timers to know more about private truck insurance for show trucks etc, rather than the Newbies.
I expect that it’ll be OK if you post again there, and the hard working moderators will tidy things up for us.
