Priority on three road mini-roundabout?

I’m not sure that the roundabout in the pic above is Hemel, Hemel doesn’t have those little islands around the middle.

Can’t really understand the question, mainly as I can’t be arsed to try and work it out as I get bored easy.
I suspect you mean a situation where you meet a car on a mini and both of you are in effect on each others right, so it’s a 50/50 ball situation, so just use common sense and care.

Maybe in the case of a four way exit roundabout in which both are turning right. But in this case only one is turning right and/or it’s a three way exit with in either case one turning right and one going straight ahead.Which by the usual rules applying to roundabouts will make it the vehicle going straight ahead gives way to traffic turning/approaching from the right.

IE in the case of two vehicles turning right at a 4 way mini roundabout from opposite directions it is effectively the same thing as no roundabout being there at all. While in the case of one going left or straight ahead and one turning right from the opposite directions the roundabout effectively reverses the priorities as they’d apply at a non roundabout controlled junction.Which wouldn’t apply under the old French etc idea of give way to traffic entering a roundabout in which case it would be the vehicle going straight ahead which would have the priority. :bulb:

I agree with whatever CF said…, but you missed the bit about not trying to explain it , as I am too busy doing something more worthwile and interesting. I’m making a model ship out of my last 10yrs toe nail clippings. :unamused:

Albion - while I’m fairly sure I understand what you mean by, “LGVs shouldn’t signal off a mini roundabout”.

You might want to qualify what you meant because it could cause confusion. The very thing I believe you were pointing out :stuck_out_tongue:

Are any of the car’s a BMW or AUDI?

If so, rules don’t matter.

Trukkertone:
I hope you don’t mean this one …

Looks more like the Swindon monstrosity that.

First time approaching it for me was a right WTF moment. :astonished:

Unbelievable Jeff !

Agreed, doesn’t look like Hemel to me either.

Oh yes thats Swindon alright, piece of ■■■■, don’t know why so many people have an issue with it. Works brilliantly for the area, you just have to remember to always give way to the right  (and ignore the bit about them being on or approaching, doesn’t apply on this one)

That said, Scania semi-autos being the pieces of ■■■■ they are, not being able to get the ■■■■ thing out of neutral and blocking the roundabout for 5 minutes caused absolute gridlock lol

Yes exactly what I meant. It can cause confusion. And while on the subject no driver should ever come onto a mini roundabout, go round it and go back the same way if you know what I mean. Of course that is more likely to be done by car drivers. I am sure you all know that as well.

Obviously, since there is only one, and it must have the only roundabout in England that you go round the wrong way on.

Nope - there’s one in Colchester too
