had to park at sandbach tonight(this job requires we have so called secure parking), to find they have hiked the price to £15, or £20 with a meal voucher.
even though i get it back, i think its a ridiculous price to pay. and the cost of this is eventually passed on to the things we buy, one way or another.
coffeeholic; i havent forgot about that breakf.ast. i’ll be in touch.
Sorry you didnt get any other replies to this Roady, but you’re dead right, it’s daylight robbery the way we are charged for things, i mean, arent the prices in the MSA shops and so-called restaurants enough? Someone is making a nice buck, and it aint us, nor the salesperson working behind the til on minimum wage.
I intend to move over to France in the future, hopefully for a better life than one can expect in this ■■■■ hole of a country.
i know. and my gaffer knows. but when something happens, the first thing the customer asks is ‘where did he park?’
if the answer is ‘layby’ , they will say why didnt he park in the services?
you then cant reason with them when part of the load is missing.
in theory, you are paying to park where an attendant will be patrolling the site throughout the night. the reality is that the attendant goes home around 10pm.
