Thought i would enlighten the unlit whilst we are on about health stuff. As i mentioned im on tabs for acid and cholesterol. 2 prescriptions at £7.40 each=£16.80. My Doc gave me a private prescription which brought the cost of the tabs down to £1.30. YES! i thought, i’ve finally got something nearly as cheap as the unemployed. 
. Took my script to the chemist with a big “i’ve got a bargain for a change smile” .
The Chemist looks at me and said, " £5 please ". The robbing git charged me £3.70 to take it off the shelf and put it in my hand. I questioned the extra cost and it was called a handling fee!. I told him i would take it off the shelf myself to which the reply was muttered. . Anyway as a result my doc now gives me 3 months worth at a time the fee is still £5 cos its all on 1 script so i am saving loads of dosh. Moral of the story get a private prescription it’s USUALLY cheaper. Unless you get them free anyway.

I usually get a 3 mth supply & dont pay for mine but then I will be on them for life or some will increase in time
