If you speak in the same manner you write, you must run out of breath a lot matey!
I’d think very carefully about giving up a job if you’ve had it twenty years, unless it’s driving you up the wall. Driving is OK at minute, but it won’t be that easy come January, unless you’re in full time work.
No harm in trying out, but in all honesty it sounds as though you’d be jumping ship without much chance of finding a paddle in the lifeboat.
Only you can decide, but I’d just try out a few shifts when you’re on holiday/weekends (watch your hours) to start with.
Yer thx for the advice wasn’t going to make any rash decision at the moment just testing the water trying to get a couple of shifts here and there but I do have the ambition to get into the industry at some point put a bit of cash out to get the class 2 and hope to use it at some point age mite be a wee thing as I’m 49yrs old turning 50 shortly thx for the reply m8 cheers
I concur with that reply, giving up a secure job you have held for that time is very risky, why don’t you talk to your present boss and say you want more driving when possible ?
