ok this is going to seem daft but humour me will you .
if you have your satnav to hand could you put a couple of postcodes in and tell me where they are please ?
i already know myself but i’m having satnav problems , for some strange reason my satnav wont accept some postcodes and its going to cause me big problems if i dont sort it …
postcodes are … ch4 opd … and ch4 odr … dont google them please cos like i said i know where they are now but they still wont come up on my dam sat nav … i just want to see if anyone else has the same issues …
I have a Garmin, odd times it wont accept a post code, I have found I can search working backwards from the destination town, road etc etc. It usually does the trick. Sometimes if there are issues if you phone the customer and tell them you cant find them in a Sat Nav they will say put in BL4 ■■■ etc… Someone else with have raised it with them in the past.
Fileep:
in your original post I notice you have used an o instead of 0(zero), don’t know if this is the problem but it makes all the difference.
well spotted fileep but i tried that on the very night it would’nt accept it … did’nt make any difference though… and yes you are all correct its broughton road chester … cant work out why my satnav wont accept it … god dam techy stuff does my head in …
My sat nav just shows a grey spot near chester no address no road & it wouldnt accept the full post code either- & it now drones on in an american female voice -still only when it wants
i wish i could , i didnt want a stanav and only got one due to the addresses being updated . i have to admit though i am slowly converting to the satnav …
and its a garmen that i have … its only a cheap one
The 0DR one is the airbus site. The postcode location is at the building entrance some way from a public road - maybe that’s why it doesn’t work in some satnavs.
You can always slot the code into Google Maps or similar to get the real location.
