Portugal,Blue 50 sign

I have just driven up (in the car ) from Faro to Villa Formosa, on the motorway what does the Blue sign in white letters on a blue back ground mean ? ,they are always below the 120 km speed sign .

Minimum speed limit.

TOBY■■?..   Gotta question for ya!!

If it’s a square or rectangular, it’s the advised speed, if it’s round it’s minimum speed.
Most of the ones I’ve seen are rectangular so it’s their advised speed, usually just before a fairly sharp curve (for a motorway) and usually 70 or 80 kmh.

No indication of bicycles, swimming in the sea, weight training in the local gym, dinner with a local family / mayor, transit routes over and through the Pyrenees, beer with orange juice and the IP5 then■■? :open_mouth:

Just boring speed limits??
