Portsmouth - Le Havre

Shipped out that way on Monday night.
The service is now provided by LD Lines, whoever they are, and there is one sailing per day in each direction. It arrivies in Portsmouth about 21.30 and sails again at 23.00 getting you to Le Havre about 08.00 local
The ship, The Norman Spirit, will be better known as P&O’s Aquitaine or further back the Prins Filip of Oostende fame.
You get two free meals on board (which are worth every penny you pay for them) and sleeping is on a two sharing basis although the cabins are in good nick. Most other onboard services are non existant with the shops being completly empty of stock and unused. There may have been a bar open but I didn’t go looking for it at that time of night.
Getting to Portsmouth at 19.00 hours my one movement onto the ferry kept my hours legal as I could book on again as I disembarked 12 hours later (10 + 2 hours for the movement during my daily rest period.)
