Portable compressor 12/24v fridge/freezer Alpicool brand

If anybody is looking for a portable 12/24v fridge and wants the bonus of a freezer bit as well look on Amazon or eBay at the Alpicool brand
You can get a reasonable sized one for under £200
Each compartment is separately controlled and both go down to -20 c and can be app controlled as well
I use it 5 days a week but it’s on 6 days from Sunday to Friday , ff Saturday to let it rest
I’ve just brought a 24l one for £129 as my 45 l one is getting to big for my needs

I’ve got a similar one

Allegedly one factory makes loads of them, but they are branded with many different names for different retailers. Anyone that way inclined can buy a container load of them quite cheaply with their own name stuck on.

I use mine in a 4x4 and when away it keeps on for weeks at a time. As @blue_estate says compressor types are not a big battery drain and work better than other types. Mine is firmly mounted has coped with the off road vibrations and rattles that off roading brings.

I would tend to look at the actual retailer involved if buying online. IMHO go for a retailer in the UK. You might get a better deal buying direct from China but if anything goes wrong then dealing with a UK retailer is possibly easier.

EDIT
I find the wiring is interesting too. Mine is also dual votage 12/24. To run off 240v mains they supply a dropper that plugs into the DC connection.
The interesting (to me) but is that there is only the one connection and no manual voltage switch. Just plug it into either a 12v or 24v supply and it works fine. I was wary as I didn’t want tom fry 12v electrics with my 24v system, but it is all good. Very adaptable, usable in both trucks etc and cars with 12v.

I run mine in the car and off 12/24 in the truck , must have an internal voltage dropper

I fancied one of those last time I bought, ended up with something that only has one section.

I just googled compressor cool box and there were some prices that looked similarly cheaper than you might expect, especially as the camping season is about starting.

Apologies to drag politics into it, I wonder if we are getting some Chinese goods inbound that might have been landing in the US originally..

Without going too deep…I think it is a bit early to see those effects this soon. If any arrive with 2 pin 120v adapters instead of 3 pin 240v? That will be notable.

My adapter is on a figure of 8 lead any way so easy to swap
