Of course there is a shortfall in finances, no one said there wasn’t. But Labour have banged on and banged on about a £22 billion shortfall left by the Tories, utter twaddle, they are in government they could cut back on commitments made by the Tories, they chose not to and came up with whacking great pay rises and included these in the Tories so called black hole.

Sure they could.
Which of the huge, flashy, spending promises made by Hunt and Sunak should go first?

Probably a good time to reflect upon the note left by
Liam Byrne who was chief secretary to the Treasury under Gordon Brown upon the Tory Government takeover. Something along the lines of “sorry, there’s no money left
“ take your blinkers off FFS, they’re all as bad as each other.

I’ve no idea, I’m not in government, I’m not the Chancellor, best leave that to them. I mean they are good at adding billions to suit their agenda, let’s see if they can lose billions just as easily off the national debt with their mammoth tax raid. Only time will tell.

The increase in employers’ NI sounds like a bit of a killer to small businesses trying to survive. Ultimately it needs to be paid for, so the price of goods and services will go up and then people will be asking for wage increases. A vicious circle.

The NHS managers will be rubbing their hands with the extra funding, wondering how much they can syphon off.

Nah, they won’t syphon any off. What they’ll do is invest in their diversity and understanding programmes, make lots of bright and pretty posters to fill the walls of A&E and congratulate themselves on their inclusivity quota for the year

I remember taking that note up with him a long time ago, that was left by Brown’s clowns for the Tories.
As usual he answered me robotically with some official line dog sh, which put a positive spin on it.

You are wasting your time mate, you can never get sense and logic from the brainwashed.

You will see it soon btw, when he trawls through 100s of posts to try and prove me wrong. :joy:

Telling Franglais to take the blinkers off is akin to weeing in the wind … pointless.

I think the NHS does need to invest more in understanding and therapies for some amongst us. Many outwardly healthy people do have hidden issues.

Just look here at someone with traumatic mental health issues. Bullied by what appeared to be a bit of banter directed not at him, but at someone else. Some would describe it as black humour, but the more mentally delicate are damaged by unthinking remarks from years ago. They can still carry the scars today.

We all should be more understanding and charitable to those less able to cope than ourselves.

In other Budget News, many are taking time to look over the figures, and listen to heads wiser than their own for sound fiscal insights. It is always a problem to look at how different measures, sometimes pulling in opposite directions, all affect each other.

That is why we need to look to others for sound unbiased analysis of the issues at hand.

I see that Talk TV were lucky enough to secure the services of one of the most notable financial influencers of recent times to aid them, and us: Liz Truss.

‘Bullied by a bit of banter’

All together now guys…form a circle and hold hands.

Thank you RR.
I am sure that Maoster will appreciate your thoughtful support.

Any rational person not knowing of franglais’s leanings would think his post on the NHS was a pl55 take.

Don’t need any support but thanks for your concern. It goes without saying that I didn’t click on whatever it was you’d linked. :+1:

But of course not.

Very good, I’m adapting well to the Zac methodology of ignoring anything I don’t want to hear.

In fact I’d much rather develop and nurture a tooth abscess than read anything that you are sad and anally retentive enough to actually trawl back through previous posts to find. Mind you I suppose that what you perceive to be a win is to be gratefully received?

Perhaps you should consider a nice little part time job! Too much time on his hands sent Carryfast insane and it looks like you’re heading that way too :+1:

The pc Lefty a holes are out in force again at the BBC I apparentlly.

Not only do we now have the euphamistic ‘Irregular immigrants’…musn’t admit they are actually illegal, but I see the term ‘Man made’ has been made gender neutral now, …
When they talked about a ‘Man made climate crisis’ it was ‘Human Formed’ :joy:

These f. kers are everywhere now, my wifes mate who works in a pharmacy asked a guy to sign his name, but he filled this form out without doing so.
She said ‘He must have forgotten his name’ to which her boss (a weapons grade prick btw) said ‘’ No it is…They must have forgotten their name’ you do not assume gender’.
To which he was told to politely f. off
Problem is these barstewards are calling the shots nowadays.

I agree. The real killer for small and medium business’s is the ripple effect of minimum wage pay rises. Employee’s on the minimum wage get the rise granted in the budget, then the people the next level up naturally want a rise to move in line with those lowest paid workers, and then those above them want a rise and so on. It’s a cost that many smaller business’s which are the heartbeat of our economy simply cannot survive on.

…and the skilled employees may not get that rise, meaning year on year, the gap closes and you have skilled workers moving towards being on minimum wage too. Those workers will leave those jobs to do unskilled, less stressful work, if they are pushed too far.
