Political discussions...

Just highlighting your constant obsession with the past while at the same time refusing to acknowledge or criticise the absolute shambles on numerous issues the last 4 months.

I don’t know anyone on here that does that.

I can’t help but notice the timing of the release of information about the Southport scumbag and his links to islamist terrorism - right on the eve of the budget … convenient.

Yep…Sounds about right.
I’m betting all this stuff about him was discovered and known either before or during the ‘riots’ …when they took pains to tell us he was a Welshman whose family had been here for years.

But hey…as somebody once told us cynics on here…
‘The government would never cover up or keep stuff from us’’
So I must be wrong.

The common link is obviously Socialism of whichever faction.

Which video? The video which has been determined by a UK court to be lies, and the maker of the video has been told it is lies and he must not repeat it, yet he has defied the court and done so, and is now enjoying a sojourn at His Majesty’s Pleasure?

No, I haven’t viewed it. Nor have I viewed the thousand-and-one Covid conspiracy theory videos, nor have I read the Flat-Earth Society manifesto, nor have I viewed the QAnon offerings. If you want to sling insults around, I would ask for about a bazillion other “offences” to be TIC’ed

If the likes of you and RR want to waste your time listening to a proven liar, that’s your choice and a benefit (for you) of democracy, but don’t expect me to be wasting my time like that, not least of all because this represents one or more of the widespread logical fallacies so prevalent these days.

Well swerved Zac ^^^

Meanwhile in other news, some wag once posed a question asking “how do you tell when a politician is lying” and answered himself with “their lips are moving”.

That about sums up the sheer contempt that we should hold politicians in. They lie, and they lie constantly. Their political hue has nothing to do with it, the lie incessantly.

What grips my excrement is the sheer contempt that they treat the public with. Unless we’re voting for them, working in their factories or going off to die in their vanity wars!

Just
A N Other example of the contempt in which they hold us…

I admire your steadfast confidence in the British Courts and justice system in their infallibility.

I wonder if the Guildford 4, or the Birmingham 6 shared your confidence.

Or Hussain Mattan and George Kelly, …but we will never know from those 2 as they were wrongly executed by the same system, but later pardoned…

And if we are comparing Apples and Pears again,…(ref flat earth society) whst about all those WW1 Soldiers with PTSD who were executed for cowardice by a Brit court,.albeit a Military Court Martial.

So it looks to me strongly, like they aint infallible, and in fact CAN be wrong.

Put the perceived element of minor ‘scratch my back/old boy network’ (which I think is prevalent in this particular case) or aka minor corruption, in the mix, (allegedlly) and this is where we get to so far.

I flippantlly and jokingly said to you the other day I was a conspiracy theorist…I aint.
But I am a gold plated and copper bottomed cynic who readily believes nothing at first.
But I do look at BOTH sides before commenting and concluding.

I also look at all the suspiciously disproportional time and attention spent by the British Establishment, on who they casually write off, and SAY (to anybody who will believe it) that they merely see YR/YL, as an insignificant oik who is only a troublemaker, and again the cynic in me asks why all this time and attention is spent on him if that is truly what they feel.

Again, and in my own personal opinion,…
I think the British Establishment is the most untrustworthy, devious, corrupt, and self serving group since the EU.
They hate being taken on by who they see as the great unwashed plebs, the lijes of us.
Try and do them out of money,.see the disproportional sentences they hand out, akin to armed robbery…unless it us one of their own…ref MP expenses scandal.
It is more serious to fiddle your tax thsn to hit an old lady over the head and rob her pension…oh yeah they do that also nowadays, but in a metaphorical stylee.

I’ll leave it there and re.state the agree to differ thing.

So the Office For Budget Responsibility (OBR) made no mention of the £20 odd billion black hole in the UK’s finances in it’s findings / report. Funny how the fabricated figure by Labour gave them the green light for a massive tax grab.

Most of us realised it was all b/s from day 1…so no surprise.

.“…OBR describes a similar increase in spending for the year - £23bn - which they split into the omitted £9.5bn and the cost of new policies announced since the March Budget.”

Another insult? I gave you a direct answer to a BS “accusation”; zero “swerving” involved.

At no point did I say the UK courts were infallible, in fact I spoke about Andrew Malkinson just recently.

But they are right about yer man TR, if they weren’t, why couldn’t his massively expensive barrister get him off the hook?

Oh hang on a minute… As a judge herself, she must be part of the Anti-TR conspiracy.

You keep saying “agree to differ” then you keep defending a proven liar and all round scumbag.

No insult at all. I do find your refusal to even countenance watching said video laughable really given your much crowed analytical thinking. In fact your refusal is more akin to the internet version of sticking your fingers in your ears whilst shouting “la la la la I can’t hear you”.

Yep you say he’s a thieving scumbag, I say he aint,…we differ.
Do you not agree on that ?

If you do we’ve agreed to differ.

That is how I see it anyhow.

FT running same story but a subscription so here is The Tottenham Independant instead lol. Seems Labour’s claims of a £22 billion black hole left by the tories is NOT what it seems. Even the OBR don’t recognise a black hole.

Budget watchdog finds £9.5bn shortfall in previous government’s spending plans | Tottenham Independent

Really? In your link to the FT
It says in the title that there is a “black hole”, but cannot be sure of it’s size.

Is the BBC actually lying in the link I put up?

And now @truckpro post has been edited twice.

Whoopi doo. That’s 3 now and 1 here.

From @truckpro link.
“Reflecting on the March 2024 budget in a review released on Wednesday, the OBR said that “by their own admission the Treasury did not provide the OBR with all information available to them”.”

So we can argue about the size of the hole, but there is one there.
Hunt withheld relevant information. A lie by omission.

The other part of Reeves claim of £22b was in spending promised by Hunt and Sunak but not funded.

So…The last gov said in March
“We are spending 100% and receiving 100%. We have a balanced budget”
We now know that the budget was not balanced, it had a £9.5b hole.
We also know that after the March statement the Gov promised that it would spend another £14b, but did not say where that would come from.

You can paint it any colour you want, it is a hole in the last Gov’s finances, and if they had won the election, they would have been looking to fill it up.
