I used alibrite to clean the wheels and tanks first,
Meguires metal polish to then bring up the shine, works a treat on the wheels, Alcoa’s. The tank takes alot more work to get shiney but it does look alot better.
It was hard work but im going to give it another go sometime. Any one know how to get the speckles off.No mater how hard I polished they wouldn’t come off.

Elbow grease or if theat fails remove ur side rails and get an electric buffer/polishing mop involved!

I just found one in are workshop. It’s an air one.Do you need any knowlidge on how to use them properly or do you just get on with it?
I started off with a dingy uncared for diesel tank on my actros. Took a few pics when I started a few months ago but only really had 4-5 decent session on it and by that I mean an hour a session as I get bored easily
Would put the before and after pics on but I am useless at it
I also get the little dimple things, started off with a tube of peak to do mine and it came up ok no mirror finish. Then got some autosol and it seemed to be better at getting the marks out but not a mirror like shine so I got some more peak and it come up a treat. Ive just invested in some autoglym and hopefully this week I will get around to doing the autoglym followed by the peak and let you know how it goes …and if I find out how to put pics up I will
Just had my grille, step boxes & tanks polished, the bloke sanded them first with a fine grade pad on one of them little Black & Decker mouses & then used a solid block polish (rouge bar) & an angle grinder with a polishing wheel, 2hrs later I could shave in them, nice…
For advice how to do this properly go on the chromeshopmafia website, they have ‘how to’ sections & run you through it step by step, good luck
