Pitstop Cafe, Bromsgrove. Avoid if you drive a lorry

bristolron:
One of our drivers stopped there Thursday. He was doing machinery removals so had a drivers mate with him.
They both ordered breakfast and sat and waited, and waited and waited. After 30 mins he went and asked about their breakfasts as he had seen people that had ordered after him eating theirs. He got a mouthful of abuse from the women behind the counter about having to wait as they were busy (he says their were 3 staff and it was not that busy but they spent more time talking than working) and that she was not there to serve bolshie lorry drivers-all he did was enquire how much longer he was going to have to wait for their orders. (I should say that this driver is not some young hothead but actually retires next month)
He held his temper and went and sat down. He saw the girl that was serving set of with the drivers mates breakfast and the women behind the counter said to her “if that bloke gives you any abuse tell him to come and see me cos I’m not having any abuse from lorry drivers”. The drivers mates breakfast order was wrong (he never got what he paid for) and the driver still never had his order. He waited another 25 minutes and went and asked again and got another mouthful of abuse so he just walked out and went without. (He never got his money back either)
So if you drive a lorry then don’t stop there to eat as they don’t want to serve you as it interupts their talking.
None of our drivers will eat there again.
He cannot put this on the himself as he is not on the internet. Really, now tell the truth !!

£3+ for one heart attack burger or £3 for 24 weetabix + 4 pints of milk.

I have just started eating porridge again after 40 years, cant think why I stopped, it’s lovely in a morning

Stayed there quite a few times, admittedly always at night so never been in for breccy, but it’s always been a nice friendly place.

Food’s ok, prices are a little high I think - but they are at most truck stops I find.

Parking is ok, little guy tells you where to park, not pot holed to hell or like a swamp, doesn’t hold that many trucks though.

It was the truth and the moral of this is to believe what I said and also to learn to spell.

This post is 6 months old, time it went to bed  :unamused:

i agree with sometimes wherever you go soemtimes you feel like saying " will you shut your trap and get with what you are supposed to be doing ".

i think the slags in the butty van got off very lightly.

“SLAGS IN THE BUTTY VAN” what a total classic comment

Well the driver should about turn ,see the manager and get his money back, then dont step foot in the place again

He should go back in next week and ask if they remember him and is his food ready yet, if not I’ll have my money back

The problem with complaining at a cafe, even if you are right to, is that you always run the risk of getting a snot garnish on your bacon sarnie.
