BB Transport right? Is it them that drives Oil Equipment between west coast and Hamerfest or did I get them mixed up?

45min break in Laisdalen on my way to Beijan, Seriously sick mountain, 10km with 10% grade a small 500m tunnel on the top and then straight down again. Not even worth to try it in the winter without chains
But the view is good

cant fault it at all very quiet when driving ,loads of space inside .Better than the old ones in my opinion .

Basically I’m floating all over South Island but in theory I go south from Christchurch which suits me well, SH1 northwards is nothing but a racing track.

Old and sluggish?..so the 700 on the front ain’t your gee gee’s then?
A couple of questions Prefix…that is a 8 wheeler trailer,I presume it has a dolly and not a rigid drawbar and do both the front axles steer or just the first?

Also,what’s the diamond sticker on your bumper for?

As an ex pat also living in Christchurch and driven for hookers also, I’ll respond, yeah it is a 4 axle trailer and the 2 axles turn, very good in tight spots, the diamond on the bumper is for the NZ dangerous goods, there are about 12 different symbols and you just mark the truck up with the correct symbol depending on what’s being carried, the weights for this set up will be 44 tonne on 8 axles as he isn’t running on a H plate, if you run a H plate then you are classed as a high productive vehicle and can run 50,56,60 tonne

Oilfield equipment indeed! Do you drive much to Norway? Feel that I see the Kauritel trucks all the time here.

Yes, this truck is from BB Transport. They have about 17 trucks that drive for Bring Offshore and Energy. Bring Offshore and Energy drive all around Norway with Oil Equipment, yes, but mostly on the west coast, and to Hammerfest.

Yes, this truck is from BB Transport. They have about 17 trucks that drive for Bring Offshore and Energy. Bring Offshore and Energy drive all around Norway with Oil Equipment, yes, but mostly on the west coast, and to Hammerfest.

The rumor is that pay is seriously good but schedule is tight and they run through Norway, even if I would like to think that’s just a rumor, most be cheaper going up through Sweden/Finland. Ligger det nÃ¥gon saning i det eller bara massa drit prat? 3300nkr/dögn snackes det om

problemet är bara tigt schema + Hamaröy med fin vattenblanka på vägen kan ställa till det rejällt, likaså kvangsfjellet.

You only go Norway up if you have ADR Class 7 (Radioactive) in your load. In BB you do not get 3300NKR pr day, that is for sure. Maybe some of the companies from north have that pay(lower payroll tax cost in north), but it seems high. In BB diffrent drives have different pay. But I have spoken to a few other drivers in other companies driving for Bring Offshore and Energy, the pay seems to be around 2500 pr day including “night out-money”.

Noen ganger kjører du Stavanger-Bergen hele uken, plutselig til Kr.sund, og ene uken kan du få en Hammerfest tur. Av og til får du express-tur til Hammerfest, og kjører da flere sjåfører. Og Bring er i hard konkurranse med Kuene-Nagel og SR-Group, så prisene går bare nedover. Men kjøringen er helt OK. Men mye venting og lite hjemme. (Og du vet ikke når du får være hjemme. Plutselig blir det ukehvile midt i uken osv.) Jeg personlig likte ikke off-shore kjøringen og har min siste uke hos BB nå. Har du flere spørsmål, sendt en PM, så vi slipper å ødelegge tråden her med masse svensk og norsk. hah!

Greit då veit jag. Var mest bara nyfiken då det snackats om de där 3300nkr/dögn men de har väll spets på lite vartefter snacket har gått.
Kan ju bland in lite Finsk Ã¥ Estnisk ocksÃ¥ sÃ¥ “Mildon” fÃ¥r va med lite. Men det enda estniska ordet jag kan är ringtee (rundkjörning), suomi onistuu vähä parempi sitten
