Hi Sam, what a fantastic vehicle. My fantasy" retirement plan is to buy one of those and go island hopping around the Greek Islands for a whole summer.

What size engine has it got and is it diesel or petrol!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Any chance of you posting some interior shots please?..once again, a lovely looking motor!

PS…not sure what happened with the quote!!. the pics have dissapeared!!..anybody■■?

Hi Bullitt, thanks for your comments, Engine V10, petrol with LPG conversion I have’nt got any decent shots of interior will take some sometime and PM you.
yes would be ideal for travelling abroad in, but I have’nt got the nerve to go abroad on my own :frowning: I know it would be alot easier finding places to park abroad than it is here in lovely blighty  Sam.x

A V10 PETROL engine :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: Jesus, guess you must be rather well off then■■?..that really would be like driving down the road throwing £10 notes out the window every 20 miles or so!!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

How much does that thing way, 5 tonne??

And doent worry about travelling abroad alone, thats what alot of us here do anyway (or used to!! ), and its great fun…especially in a beast like that!!

If i drove off the ferry in Calais in that you wouldnt see me again for years!!

Sort some pics out and put them on here, I reckon quite a few would be interested.

I realise most of you hate Stobarts with a passion but you know what… I dont care! lol
They pay me a wage every week (every fortnight actually).
Its an easy job
The equipment is all decent
I`m paid for weekends away
I know my wages will be in the bank
A phonecall sorts any tyres/breakdown problems

Why is there so much hatered for Stobbart?

Its like up here, you hear a lot of people bad mouthing Malcolm’s…why? is it jeleousy because they used to work there and got sacked for being crap? or because they went for a job and Malcolm’s saw through them and they never got the job?

I dont JB, IMHO, they are what it says on the tin, efficient/smart/clever, its a British thing to slag off something thats decent.

I actually loaded out of ESL Crick yesterday, 25 pallets, no messing, in and out within an hour, all very proffessional + helpful.

Every ESL driver Ive met, have been pretty decent, not like some idiots Ive had the misfortune to “meet” during my working week

Only 420’s, thats a disgrace! :grimacing: Didnt they used to run 500 V8’s?
The person who said that stobarts are efficient, smart and clever is spot on in my opinion.

Thats an ex Andrew Porter one isnt it?

No is an Andrew porter one

You switched jobs bud?

yeah mate jumped in may

Look what I got…

My new Volvo

Gaz:
My new Volvo

How do you rate the Volvo against your previous steed ■■?

I rate both makes, with Volvo taking a slight lead, because their back up [IMO] is superior :open_mouth:

I rate the trucks purely from a drivers point of view. Service back up is of little concequence to me in real terms, i just make a phone call! My old MAN over three years and over 400,000 miles may have had a clutch/engine/turbo whatever and i would have known nothing of it, they just get sorted. That said the mechanics prefer the Volvo!

I just gotta drive it and live in it, whilst the MAN is a bigger cab the Volvo wins for me, its a better place to be.

As for driving them, they are much of a muchness, the new MAN that i had was a lovely drive, as is the Volvo!

Both excellent trucks!
