i have seen what red diesel does to a 1.9pdtdi a4. the engine oil had turned red. tank pump, high pressure pump (mounted on the engine), the injectors, were all knackered. it had scored the cam’s aswell, due to the diesel had thinned the oil down… we didn’t bother going any further with the strip down.
Sounds like the car must of had underlying problems not related to red diesel. Red diesel simply has a dye added, it is exactly the same as white diesel, only red.
Unless the car owner used a contaminated source of red. I’ve used red in a VW derv before 1.9TDi (not the 115 PD), no problems.

i already sold it bud i paid £330 sold it to a mate for £400 i was suprised at the alfa it drove really well handled good and wasnt bad on juice either i know they can be a bit tempermental electric wise
I’d love an Alfa it’s just the thought of it going wrong always put me off. I almost bought a 156 once but bottled it at the last minute and bought a BMW instead. Ironicly the BMW engine let go six months bown the line.
Alfa engines are generally bullet proof mostly. Electrics and ECU are the PITA!
Clearest picture I have. Mitsubishi strada 6months tax / mot import Irish plates. Definition of gypsy. £475 . Only runs when It wants to. No starter motor and shocking rear axle noise a bargain!!!

. Basicaly it belonged to my dads mates wife she bought a new car the garage offered her only 500 on part x so she stuck a message on facebook saying anyone could have it for 500 quid rather than the garage. So i stepped in 500 quid plus 95 quid to tax it

What did you say you were doing with them? Because when I asked them about being a breaker then wanted £2k. I have to trailer anything I’m taking apart.

buying and selling as for breaking im allowed to break anything thats registered in my name im not allowed to buy anything to break but if it breaks in my ownership then it gets broken up i have bought a 02 clio dci of a mate for £300 the interior is buggered but its £30 year road tax and 60 plus mpg and a mk3 1.4 golf for £150 with mot and tax
