Personalised number plates

Have seen on a bedding companys truck. P155 BED.

PEN 1S I think used to be owned by Bike/ Truck racer Steve Parish on a Merc Cosworth many years ago.

Cool number that used to knock around Bournemouth on a BMW 7 series was
999 RTA.

seen …

2 FST 4 U

on a ferrari if I remember right? Or was it a porsche?

don’t understand how this works on a British plate, perhaps on a foreigner.

Barry Road Transport now Samat Gruppe used to use personalised numbers on the units.

They all had BRT which meant Broken Rusty Tankers :stuck_out_tongue:

The plates were worth more than the DAF’s they were bolted to

almost sure tarby own’s comic,if his daughter 's correct on radio 2 when in for wrighty

Round these parts J. Bunn the fertiliser people at Gt. Yarmouth used to have (and probably still do have) J 8UNN.

CPS Fuels also used to have CPS 401L which i thought was good.

I always wanted S1 MON but i guess several others do too! (££££££££!) I have seen S1 MNN on the A47 a couple of times which looks pretty effective. There must be several _ _51 MON’s about but i’ve not seen one personally.

5 TOP has been on an old Peugeot 306 in Saxlingham Nethergate for several years, must be worth a quid or few.

And i’ve yet to see BO55 MAN but i bet that went for a tidy price too.

There used to be a section on The AA’s website where you could enter a UK reg, and it would tell you what make of motor it was and the taxation class, i had it bookmarked but they removed it one day, or put a charge on it or something. Not sure if there’s anywhere else you can do it?

Oh and i’ve posted this on here before, but there’s a Scottish (i think) FH Globetrotter XL kicking about with GL03Y XL which i think is good, but i guess GL08Y XL is available now, anyone seen that?

About 10 years ago I saw 18ROX at Castets. Can’t remember what the truck was, but it had a superb custom paint job paying homage to Rangers.

Excuse my ignorance but i have no idea of the relevance of that reg

Ibrox Stadium my friend, in Glasgow.

Ahah (starts singing) “I can see clearly now”

To be fair i hate football and im not Scottish so i think i’ll allow myself that ignorance

M1CKY went for well over £100,000 and I think it went to Mick Jagger - not sure aout that though…

Being built for comfort not speed, I’d like the reg, “FAT130Y”, I’d put the 1 +3 close together so it looked like a “B” :sunglasses:

There`s a Silver Nissan 350Z in and around Edinburgh city centre with the reg 50 BER - wonder if he ever gets a tug by the fuzz??!!!

The majority of my companies tractor units have the companies initials on them. The 2 from our yard - SGB 1 and X1 SGB.

Maybe FAT 80Y would be more up your street then  …although you’re probably talking several more notes!

Or maybe CHU 88Y, P135 AME (PIES 4 ME) or WOB87Y (WOBBLY)

… sorry, you’ve got me going now
