Perfectly reasonable request

I’ve asked for a early finish Friday , 4 pm latest as I’m off to see rovers play Notts county , need to get a shower , changed and over to Notts for a few ciders with mates , then off to the football
I think a very reasonable request
Manager says he’s not prepared to loose loads so I can get ■■■■■■ up and watch football , makes you wonder what kind of social life he has :unamused:

Oh Dozy…in their eyes if you’ve done 59.5hrs you’ve still got 30 mins left to work, times money and they really don’t care about you.
If you don’t like it leave,Simples.

Sir sir i have a docters appointment!! Play the game and they dont get a chance to play you.

wheres the picture,wheres the picture,wheres the picture…?
old habits die hard.its not even friday yet and its troll time about fridays now…jesus wept… :unamused:

Inverse logic works every time with our planners; let it be known that I could do with the money so I want max hours guarantees a noon finish Friday for me!

I’d throw a sickie if I were you; that game’s a must-see for any Rovers fan, only FA cup tie they’ll be playing this season. :grimacing:

I was about to ask if you were at Wembley in 2008, then I realised that was against city!

It’s a poxy football game, why the upset, get ■■■■■■ off hearing about the stoooiopid game.
Have a night out, and watch it on telly, and the milko can,eat your steak dinner, that wifey has made.

If you’re a footie fan what time do you need to finish work to see the match? If it was me I’d need more than a few ciders to be forced to get up close with a bunch of blokes and sit watching a bunch etc etc. …

I don’t get watching football but I appreciate that a lot do. I can see it’d be important to a big fan to see an important match. Why not ask for a later finish and give up the booze bit?
Or has your Sat Nav packed up so you need some one to show you the way to the ground?

Edit. Asking for time off from normal working hours to see a big footie match is asking a favour. Asking for time off to go on a ■■■■ up is taking the ■■■■.
Once again after being there so many years and having done them so much good work without any form of complaints or moaning they surely will wave you off with a smile.

Dont know how far you live from Notts or how long it takes to get there, but, have wash at work, cut out the booze time go in your work gear if need be,and go straight to the ground kick off is not til 19.45 Sure you wont be the only one in his work gear,as some will be straight off to work after the match.
There again the TM must get used to you requesting early finishing on a Friday,as its not known for being your best working day

I’d keep it yourself if I was you Dozy, being a gas head I’m on about, does 17 yrs mean anything to you ■■

Dozy he probably does have a social life with his set hours finishing at exactly 5pm every day. The fact is he doesn’t care whether a driver gets a social life it means he can’t book a load.

As long as you’ve worked your contract hours for the week or for the day in any other job it probably wouldn’t matter, but in this game it seems to cause big problems asking for early finishes when you’ve already worked 60+ hours
