Lad who drives for me has a load of peat to pick up from somewhere near to the Kincardine Bridge or Falkirk to go down to Scott’s Peat Works at Hatfield Moor, Doncaster. Just wondered if anyone knows where the collection point is and what the procedure is when he gets there to load please?
Couple of ways to go to this place. If you are coming from Glasgow direction you can cut off the M876 at Larbert, turn left at the first r/about and then go straight through 3 more. The golf course is on your right. Just past the houses on your left there is a sign I think it’s for cowie , Follow this road and the peat mill is on your right. Or carry on the M876 and come off for Kincardine bridge, then come off for Airth turn right on roundabout and go along duel carriageway, turn right at roundabout and follow (bellsdyke road) you come to one roundabout, go over that and you will see the same sign for cowie that I mentioned, just that you are coming in the opposite direction. Do not go into Letham village. The 3rd way is to come off M876 for Kincardine bridge and cut off for Airth down to r/about BP station in front of you, turn left and go through Airth keep on that road until you come to Murray’s caravan park after 100 yards take the road on the left. Follow this for a couple of miles and the peat mill is on your left.
