I wonder who might be on this !

Answers on a postcard please addressed to Tony’s old pictures emporium, I bet Pikehall has never seen such a smart looking couple for years, must have been taken on a Sunday afternoon too, out of lime spreading season, for both of them to be dressed up.
Do I get a prize for my answer Tony?

Crikey, it’s Monica and Eric! Funny how you don’t recognize folk out of context isn’t it, I would have walked past them without a second glance. They did me a big favour 20+ years ago when my VW campervan was vandalised at Minninglow picnic site, we would have been in a right mess if they hadn’t lived locally and got us sorted. They got some mileage and graft out of that black Albion that they ran on lime out of Ballidon as well.

Pete.

By the way Pete I’ve managed to download the Ballidon photo I’ll Have another look at it but I’ll e-mail it to you.I don’t know why you couldn’t send it me. My ad.in case I didn’t give the right wording. tone.val@talktalk.net. I don’t want to get in to a photo competition

Tony

Pete I have cropped this pic and sent it to my lad who is into graphics in his job and thinks it might be a job to get sharper.I wonder if the original could be scanned at a higher Resolution.

Great old photos of the Fodens, from the Sellers & Kent stable, I met old Mr Kent some years ago when I bought a Mickey Mouse 8 wheeler tipper from them, I also met his son Tony, They were nice people to do a deal with, I got very good service from VTU 291 E which I Have mentioned before, It was a good old motor & earned me some money when money was money, Regards Larry.

This was the Ex Sellers & Kent Foden I bought off them in 1975, Regards Larry.

I think Gary Kent will be on our roadrun with his foden unit on the 21st .

Hi Bonkey,
Long time no see, you had some tipper photographs off me many years ago. You maybe won’t remember but I wanted a photograph of AWU840G an ex Tilcon Foden tipper an lo and behold one appears on your latest post.
I drove this vehicle for a while at Tilcon working mainly out of Kevin Quarry at Oakamoor, she didn’t have greedy boards on then, only carried 15 tons but she would go anywhere, rarely had to use the low range. I moved later onto TRB131K an S50 Foden tipper. (you sent me a photograph of this one)
Tilcon was a good firm to work for, but I left to answer the call of the artics

Bill Clowes

I’ll bet you all remember the sound this made.

Aye this 4 wheeler was in their yard when I was there, It was a 4 cylinder 2 stroke IIRC,It also had an Eaton 2 speed device fitted on the back of its gear box, Regards Larry.

This was an Ex Sellers & Kent motor, A Tilcon tanker before that, Regards Larry.
