Been offered the change to sit my PCV, a small company who does school runs and coach trips are looking for a driver and said could help me out with the licence, not sure if it would be an automatic or manual vehicle though.
Ive got C+E at the moment, if i sit the D licence in an automatic will i get full D since ive already got C+E with a manual or will it be restricted.
Also would sitting D since ive got C+E mean i’d get D+E or would that mean another test.

IF you pass D AUTO you will get D and D+E both MANUAL.
You will have to do the theory and initial driver CPC for D (PCV)

How can you pass auto and then not get a restricted licence ■■?
I presume it’s because you’ve already passed the C in a manual. As regards the DE upgrade, most people on here have had to ask the DVLA to put it on as they often overlook it.
Thanks for the info Rog, i’m hoping to sit test in a manual but if its an automatic would be ok if i get full licence with no restrictions. Another place has been moaning of trouble getting drivers because a lot of PCV drivers only being able to drive manual vehicles.
