No, only the daily rest period has to be completed within 24 hours from the start of shift, the compensation can be tagged onto the end of a daily rest period or weekly rest period.
Compensation for a reduced weekly rest period should be paid back no later than the end of the third week following the week in which the reduced weekly rest period was taken.
