Hi Dean, I don’t think David ever used it for scrap but I think Graham’s son may have taken it on as an o/d and ended up rolling it maybe at Bath not 100% sure. David did have an F12 tag I seem to remember but this was after my time. When I catch up with Graham I will find out. Be nice to see a picture of that. The Daf was rolled when David bought it I seem to remember.

Yes “Dorset” your right, the DAF was rolled on what used to be the old Bath hill before the new section was put in with the flyover. The Daf came back to Reg Buglers yard behind the St. Peters Finger pub as I remember seeing it there when I drove for Reg back in 1984. It was in a sorry state, shame I didnt get any pictures of it at the time.

Bit of a favourite of mine as used to see them weekly in and out of Poole where they also had there own shipping office. In the 1970s
along with Swains and Axminster Transport they also had an office in Cherbourg.

Thanks for confirming about the DAF “steam” . Thats going back a bit can remember turning left and up the old Bath hill road in my
grandads trucks. I seem to remember there were a few twist and bends on it. Further along heading in the direction of the M4 you used
to come to a set of traffic lights and opposite there was a hedge where the owner had trimmed the hedge into the shape of a battle ship.
I assume he was an ex Navy man,but always remember that.
