Hi Dean,
A pure guess is that PG is in relation to Peter Green?
Dean,
I seem to think that the Elliot Blackmore ERF was new to Birmingham City Council and ran between the Tyseley incinerator and Packington Landfill, think there were 4 or 5 of them and her sister R621 was for sale a while ago, Cheer’s Pete
pete smith:

Morning Dean,
Yes I can remember Daniels fleet parked up and also the cafe later on, it didn’t last too long as the price that the land was fetching for extending the Merryhill centre was too strong to be ignored, Cheer’s Pete
Glad you remembered them Pete, thanks for the info !

R E Bache were from Alveley between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth on the A442, not sure if they are still operating as there are houses built on the yard now,
Morning Dean.
Knights of Old are still going, saw one tother day in Northallerton,a real old established company.
Hi Dean
AFAIK Woodhead Bros is owned by Morrisons. They have a large abbatoir at Colne and are the main suppliers of fresh meat to the supermarket chain.
Their livestock buyer was a regular visitor to NE marts, they have quite a few double deck livestock trailers and usually did their own transport.
Tyneside
Tyneside you are correct about morrisons owning woodheads, there is a constant arrival of pigs from a variety of mostly Yorkshire hauliers as well as their own fleet, last week i saw a plain white scania with blue woodhead writing which may signal the end of the livery, time will tell.

Anyone recognise the Foden wrecker ■■
It’s from JSM, which was originally, I think, James Street Motors. I thought that were from Bury, but Companies House tells me they were from Stockport. However, the directors’ home addresses are Bury, so perhaps I was right the first time!
They used to pop up at lots of motorway contraflows, parked next to a caravan for the chaps to live in between towing jobs. The business failed in 2012

“DEANB” “240 Gardner”Think this is the company ?
The very same, thank you Dean!!
The rescue & recovery side of the business was hived off separately in 2013, but the business in its current form is now back in the hands of the Brinklow family, after a total of 23 years with two different owners. Arcade became quite an empire, particularly after it was acquired by John I Jacob plc (aka Jacob Shipping) and became a cornerstone of the multi-faceted Ontime, along with the many other businesses that Jacob bought
Thanks for the comments Chris. Heres a bit more about the recovery side of the business.
Marvellous, thank you Dean!
Here’s another of the businesses that was merged into Arcade as a part of the evolution of what is now Ontime Automotive:
