Interesting 401 articles Dean, I had a B Reg 6x2 also B150 GTN with the ■■■■■■■ engine. I’ve heard and read many knocking the 401 but for me it was a good machine and the most comfortable bed of all and much better than any of the foreign makes I drove, sadly I never did get a photo of it, just never thought about it for many of the motors I had. Franky.

Dean Great Stuff as always Just been looking through the photos that you have put up today on this thread lovely to see some plant photos again :sunglasses:

Hi Dean, the little F7 tipper in the last bunch of pictures had my grey cells working…anyway I found a shot of BGL 265V when she had just been painted in Peter Greens livery although she was waiting to be signwritten. The pic was taken in 1981…40 years ago and although 265V looks brand new she actually was a second hand motor which started her life in Cornwall…I do have a shot of it parked in Newlyn in her original working clothes but at the minute I cant find it…Apologies for rambling on.
Cheers Bubbs,

Yes, the accident happened not far from the pub, it was back in 1985 ish before they re allined the road as it used to have a few blind dips and they levelled it out more to make it safer. Stretch Transport where based in Wareham not far from Andrews Plant if I remember.
