Xmas day lot, Buzzer

I was about to say when I saw the Invincible, ‘the best ever cab before the sleeper era’, and I still mean it, and then I saw the B 61. Joy of Joys in 2 pictures.
2 WesternTransports, the first at Avonmouth and then t’other side of Bristol, was my destination on night trunk for over a year, and the second I did not meet but the motor brings back similar happy memories.
That’s an interesting Bedford, Buzzer. It looks like a fwd, usiing a diff from an RL or similar. The back wheels are probably 13" as fitted to Karrier Bantam. The curved, rectangular parking lights indicate an earl model TK, most likely early 60s. Was it used to deliver beer kegs?
It looks like the front axle and mudguards are set back, probably to allow clearance between the diff and sump and the length of the front step.

Nice to see a couple of Shippo’s wagons again. Also renowned for keeping heavy horses and drays longer than some other brewers. Sadly, I believe they are no longer in existence, or at least independant.
The M & B wagon too brings memories, anybody remember the MD there with a brummie accent who used to do the tv adverts in person?
I reckon there is a span of about 25 years between these three shots and I took all three !
For an old truck driver, you weren’t a bad photographer, Dennis.
Is there any chance of a Bewick book, used to enjoy the thread on here and it would be a great read building a successful company.

I think the roping and sheeting looks more professional on the Volvo than on the Leyland Hope you and yours have a happy new year Dennis
The sheets on that York loan trailer were off the D1000 four wheeler I had just sold so I was using them while awaiting the new York 34 ft tandem I had on order and also I had a new set of sheets ordered for the new trailer.
I’M BACK! If anyone’s interested!
Happy New Year, Dennis. As you can see, I’m back like a bad penny!
