Tyneside, I spent many hours delivering on the Quayside especially at 22 Shed with chemicals from Whitehaven in the mid 1960s, and getting back loads from various clearing houses in Baltic Chambers, The Side etc if I was loading my own traffic from Ranks across the river or CWS at Dunston or Spillers further along the quay.

Boxing Day, looking at old trucks, Still makes a change from frightening old ladies.

Heres a Mack wrecker.

I am on the Morris Commercial Facebook group and plenty seem to have survived in Australia and NZ.

Pete.

This Leyland DAF 45 was a lorry that I bought in 1998, and ran it until 2003, and it was trouble free in all
of that time, despite it being on regular journeys to Dundee and Clydebank to the North, and Redruth and
Penzance down to the Southwest. Its gross weight was 10,000 kg, and its unladen weight was 6000kg, so
it could only carry 4 tons. K933 EFL was ideal for the work that it did for the 5 years, carrying materials
for the production of counter terrorism items and finished products for the Military and Police forces,
that were manufactured by the Textile section of Remploy Frontline factories at the locations mentioned above.
The finished products were delivered to many Police Headquarters and Military sites throughout the UK and
also to Ireland.

Ray Smyth.
