Now for something completely different, Honda have developed a lawn mower there V2 model that has achieved the world record of 100mph in 6.2 seconds and went on to a top speed of 150.99 mph round a race track and driven by a woman to boot. Not sure I would want to drive it but it takes lawn mowing to a whole new level and saves time mowing the lawn, cheers Buzzer.

I had done a few days work for Ancliffs Tankers Davyhulme Urmston 1972 carting out of Shell Carrington and they were a first class outfit. They were based next to Northwest Water effluent treatment works M60, I worked for them for 2 years (now believe United Utilities) I also worked temporary for Reliance Tankers Sale carting ethylene glycol from Shell Chemicals Carrington 1972, later years they moved to Trafford Park Urmston. I was taken on permanent with Smith and Robinsons (Rothwell Leeds) on contract KRAFT Humko but based at their Urmston depot near Ancliffs. I moved to Norfolk 1985 and first job offer was driving a milk tanker for Dairy Crest Kings Lynn and did not need my ADR anymore.

Contribution for today from FB Reliance Tankers of Sale, Buzzer.
Reliance tankers were on contract to Southern oil then taken over by KRAFT Humko including the drivers and the fleet.
The old Southern Oil tanker (Reliance) was ■■■■ Maugers who later became transport manager HUMKO Oils Trafford Park in the 1970s.
When Chassis WTB248 was scapped the tank was put on chassis SNB270R driver Dave Smith.
Photo of me with hair Volvo F10, This Butterfield tank again originally belonged to Reliance Tankers.
Look at Buzzers post Reliance tankers. T37 (Butterfield tank) and tractor ERF Unit T44. When Humko over Reliance fleet they kept the same fleet numbers and drivers were transferred over.
Early 1980 Humko sold out to PURA Transtore and most of the drivers were taken on by that company. The remaining drivers like myself took redundancy and came back on contract with Smith and Robinson.

A few interesting Berliets!
First one was built in Portugal
Second, a GBO/TBO 13 M3, looks part of the Brel fleet, based near Montpellier and specialised in heavy haulage
Pic 3 is a classic TBO 15 M HC (Hors-Code), maybe powered by a ■■■■■■■ engine
Last is a TBU 15, built for the French Army
An interesting picture showing Old Haymarket, Liverpool in the late 1960s.
The 2 BRS Parcels artics and the BMC FG van are just about to enter the
Mersey Tunnel. On the left are 6 Leyland PD2 buses, 3 of Liverpool Corporation,
and 3 of Ribble. To the right of the buses is one of several Bedford artic mobile
canteens that Liverpool Corporation acquired from London Transport.
The Leyland Atlantean at the bottom of St Johns lane will be going to the Pier Head.

I know how she feels with the of power being in charge of a big rig, and jaw dropping expressions from members of the public when I drove my new AEC Mantator and Dennison 40 foot box.
My grandfather and his brother Robert were coach and cart drivers since 1870 working for Lord Kilbracken Co Cavan Ireland.
Later my dad was a Chauffer handyman, He moved to Manchester 1935 and was a Lorry Driver so wagon driving is in the genes.
ps Good photos of Reyners and Bowies.
