ferrys from our arcipelago
I am forever(a couple of hours now and then ) searching the internet looking at and for lorry/truck photos for download and onward posting here, have done for a year or two now. I have found some cracking websites, some very rightly copyright bound, but just as many who are willing to share their photos whilst retaining copyright, examples are those who share their photos under Creative Commons and GFDL licences. A wee while ago and as previously posted I wrote to a number of well known truck photographers and the response was tremendous, to a man the replies were generous, some even sent further links to their collections, one gent with a photobucket link to a further 2500 photos.
The thread has been going 8 months now and I very much appreciate the support given to it by those who post pictures and also the chat. I started it but you guys keep it going, which is what it is all about. Thanks.

A nice Seddon Atkinson from one of the many photographers who share their work within the terms of a Creative Commons licence.

Hi Oilreader, The company John Jolly Ltd is still in existance with offices in Kirkwall, Orkney providing consulate services to Scandinavian ships visiting Orkney plus they have one or two large launches which provide crew transfer services to oil tankers berthed in Scapa Flow.
Cheers, Leyland.
This is a German reg outfit in Denmark with a trailer configuration not allowed in Germany, so stated by the photographer.
