Hi Dan, this Lodekka LD6G looks like an ex Hants & Dorset bus, the tell tale sun visor over the windscreen was an H&D fitting with so many sunny days in Poole and Bournemouth. Not much good this summer. Where was this taken ?

Hi l600 it was on a campsite near schloss neuswanstein which is fussen Germany , I took a load there from Barnoldswick in May and liked it so I went back for a 2 week holiday in the Bavarian Alps area .

I was sent these two photos from a mate of mine, One is his dad in a SOM Guy,The other is him on an ERF Thermalite brick tanker, (J Mcnaughton standing centre) Thermalite were based in South Alloa Scotland, Jimmy worked from Maddiston depot for SOM for many years.

Thermalite ERF powder tanker, Another long gone company. The place where the factory was is now houses. I believe Thermalite still operates from depots in England.
