I remember seeing Kingston Minerals about in Oxfordshire, I think they originated from Berkshire somewhere, somebody put me right.

Hi Eddie , i would think that Nathan is your man for this one , my distant recollection of them is with Ameys -we bought Pencrete from them mid 60s . think there was a plant at Fairford not sure , also had a lime plant at Hardwick , Witney but seem to remember their HQ was in north wales (Penmaenmawr) ive got a feeling im up a gumtree on this one though -must be getting old !

Hiya i used to load granite chippings from Penmaenmawr from 79 to 81it was Kington minerals… the work was british rail. we could have as many loads as we wanted but it was £50 a load to Weaste Manchester…sometimes a batching plant behind Knutsford services…not a brilliant rate but i was on my way back from Bangor to stoke… sometimes glass from Salford so i was only going 200yards out of my way in total with the load… i remember Kingston been near Corby in the 70,s not certain but i think on the A47. PC Howards did wotk from there i think as they loaded me once for the north east…that was another firm in the early 70,s
