Cheers Buzzer, I remember them well, tractions engines, threshing machine and bothy van visiting local farms, a couple of bikes tied on the back of the van for when driver and mate were within cycling distance of home, also the county council road rollers, I have to admit as 5 to 6 year old and my first close up, I was a tad scared
Oily
Early Albion?

By 'ell, that Scammell is a handsome machine. C’mon lads, who’s up for it? An old Gardner, Scammell gate change, that’d sort the men out from the boys. Give that to a young “superstar” from Eddies, we could sell tickets to watch the fun.

Give them it with flat batteries, one on the handle and two on the rope!!
Hi lurpak, The single decker looks to be a Leyland Leopard it has the large solid feeling Leyland steering wheel and the angle is right, possibly a Marshall of Cambridge body or Willowbrook of Loughborough.
The double decker is a Leyland Titan PD3 with Metropolitan Cammell Weymann of Birmingham bodywork. judging by the position, size and shape of the destination panel also the blue band shade looks about right. my guess that it would be an ex Preston Corporation bus, is there any chance of getting a registration numbers ? Where did you see these vehicles.?
Cheers, Leyland 600.
Thanks to servo88, lurpak and pete smith for the pics
Couple more living vans, proper lorry driver ones.

Hi Oily, These Tonka Toy motorhomes seem to be the in thing these days if you wasnt to go trekking to far flung inhospitable place all over the world. I snapped this Dutch MAN on the Baiter car park on the shores of Poole Harbour in early October. I dont fancy trying to lift a spare wheel up into its cradle…
Cheers Leyland 600.
