MAN/SAVIEM used the same cab! Did the SAVIEM have the column-change gear shift like the MAN? Regards ChrisThe Saviem did indeed have a column change with a ZF six speed gearbox and splitter. Well, the one I drove in Saudi in about 1979 did. There was a MAN Dealer in Dammam and they supplied most parts. My memory may be hazy, but I seem to remember the electrics were more French than German. Why would you use delicate shades instead of primary colours?
Not sure if the MAN had the same ridiculous handbrake, which pulled up from the dash, hissed, pulled back against you - and had no effect on the brakes whatsoever!

Thanks for the info John. Never actually drove 1 with the column shift, mate of mine had a MAN with the column shift, he liked the wagon but wasnât a lover of the gear-shift

Buzzer is the video a you tube clip if so click on it to take you to you tube and on you tube if you click share it will give you options of symbols under neath there should be a ( http: ) code just right click it and select copy and the paste it to your post on here.
If it is some other video if you right click on share under neath on your face book page and look for " copy link address " run your cursor over it and it should turn blue and left click and then go to your post on TN and left click and select paste and there you should have it
