DJ think it was used internally by the factory so no need for a huge tank, Buzzer

Yes mate it is a Norton featherbed frame which are renowned for good handling with a 1000cc Vincent engine a very nice mix of a hibred, I built a Triton when a teenager which was a featherbed frame and a triumph engine a more common build back in the day, some one said it should be called a Vinor as usually the engine make comes first in rename but I always like Norvin better, suppose its a personal choice, Buzzer

My Dad’s mate had an HRD and Dad had an Ariel Square 4 he reckoned they were about even on their cafe runs to Brighton and only the two stroke Scott could run with them.
I’ve always preferred the Rover V8 P5 to the P6 but unfortunately only the P6 had a manual box option in the S.

Vintage vehicles and ZV plates
A vintage vehicle is a vehicle proved to be more than 30 years old. You should supply the mandatory documentation when registering vintage vehicles.
However, sometimes not all of the original documentation is available. In these circumstances, a declaration in respect of the vehicle particulars from an enthusiast’s organisation or club may suffice. However, such a declaration must contain the data necessary for registration. Additional documentation may be requested, at Revenue’s discretion, to verify the identity and age of the vehicle.
You can also avail of the special ‘ZV’ series of registration numbers available for ‘vintage’ cars. A typical registration plate in this series would be ZV 4723. There is no additional cost to obtain ‘ZV’ series plates.

You’re right, the P6 could have a manual box in the S. But it was troublesome as it was never designed for the torque the V8 produced. The BW auto was better in that respect.
