You could see that Comet from Ordsall Lane Salford,it was a night club IIRC,on Pomona Dock.

Not having heard of that before I found the article very interesting, but having only been bought and converted in the '70s why on earth was it broken up and removed in the '80s?
Strikes me there is a missing bit of this story.
